Auto-Reader (the "App", internally "Auto-Reader") is built privacy-first. The books, comics, and documents you open stay on your device — we never upload them to any server.

What we do NOT collect

• We do not upload, store, or transmit the files, pages, or text you read.
• We do not require an account, name, email, or sign-in to read.
• Optical character recognition (OCR), translation, the offline dictionary, and on-device AI (Explain/Summarize) all run locally on your device.

Information processed on your device

• Your library & reading progress are stored only in the App's local storage so you can resume where you left off.
• File access: the App reads the files you explicitly open or share to it. It does not scan your device.

Internet use

• Optional online dictionary: when you look up a word, the App may send that single word to a public dictionary service to fetch definitions. If you are offline, a bundled offline dictionary is used instead.
• On-device translation & voices: language packs and voices may be downloaded once from the operating system, then used offline.

Advertising (free version)

To keep the free version running, a single, non-intrusive banner ad may appear on the home screen after 45 days of use. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which may collect a device advertising identifier and related data to serve and measure ads. See Google's policy: How Google uses information. Where required (e.g. EEA/UK), you will be asked for consent. Removing ads via the optional subscription stops ad requests entirely.

Purchases

The optional "remove ads + extra themes" subscription is processed by Google Play Billing. We do not see or store your payment details; Google handles the transaction. We only store whether your device holds the entitlement.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Your choices

• Use the App fully offline (airplane mode) to avoid any network use.
• Subscribe to remove ads and stop ad-related data collection.
• Reset your advertising identifier in your device settings.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new date.
